Using Essential Oils to Elevate Your Health

essential oils elevate health

Essential oils are most commonly used in the practice of aromatherapy, in which they are inhaled through various methods. Aroma therapy is a form of alternative medicine that employs plant extracts to support health and well-being.

Essential oils are not meant to be swallowed, but can be applied to the skin or on objects. The chemicals in essential oils can interact with your body in several ways. A few popular ways people choose to use them are:

  • Add a few drops to a spray bottle filled with water and spritz on your bedding

  • Apply a few drops to a cotton ball and either put the cotton ball in your car's air vents or in your dresser drawers

  • Put a few drops in when you bathe

  • Take a quick whiff from the bottle whenever needed

  • Use an oil diffuser or vaporizer

Although there are many different types of essential oils, these are a few that I recommend you start with:

Lavender

Lavender has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is as soothing as it is refreshing!

Use For:

• Skin Irritations

• Balancing

• Relaxing

Lavender is an adaptogen, and therefore can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy.

One of the services we offer involving essential oils is “Raindrop Therapy”

The Raindrop technique involves the application of ten specific essential oils. These essential oils have been clinically tested to have immunity boosting, antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.

The oils are worked into the spine using light finger strokes, stimulating energy impulses and dispersing the oils along the nervous system throughout the entire body. This helps bring the body into balance and the energy centers can be cleared and re-aligned.

Aromatherapy massage will also help to reduce spinal inflammations and kill viruses that hibernate along the spinal column. By stimulating the central nervous system, you affect every system in the body including emotional release and support.
